Although lacking in some areas (it’s not chestnut of the greatest comedies of all-time), Elf is a side-splitting movie in its own right. Will-power Ferrell turns in an wonderful performance as Buddy. Like Tom Hanks in Giant, he’s actually believable as the innocent man-child roaming the streets of New York City. It’s this absurd innocence that provides Elf with the calm necessary to sustain the audience tangled in the story beginning to end. Because of its laugh consideration, and the surprisingly small hundred of decent Christmas-themed movies, Elf is a sure must-see film… Look into it gone away from this Christmas!
